The Emmegi group has radically rationalized its logistics organization to make each important stage as fluid as possible. Incoming materials are checked to verify their suitability. Once they have been accepted, they are taken to the assembly lines by special shuttles. The length of time from the moment of the component’s arrival to its use never exceeds eight hours. Suppliers are chosen on the basis of precise characteristics - knowledge of partners and their organization, product reliability and economic considerations. Suppliers are asked to deliver within three days, maintain constantly high quality standards and adopt the best possible price solutions. Emmegigroup’s just in time strategy is based on constant stock rotation. To achieve this, the company uses management software and yearly and monthly budgets in relation to production forecasts.

Supply chain management is a technical tool enabling the customer and supplier to exchange data on purchase orders, order confirmations, material delivery dates, notes, comments and drawings. It is an innovative tool as it enables real time communication of production needs to suppliers, who are kept updated on the company’s production system. Leveraging the internet has replaced written orders and confirmations.
